A MESSAGE FROM THE SITE ADMINISTRATOR
Old timers here will realise that its about time that I updated the site, and I'm thinking that it'll happen around April - which gives me scope for an April Fool's joke if I'm running late. Actually, the end of May is more likely.
I've got a myriad of things converging at the moment, from Black kilts, flags, native food (spring's here, I'm startng to forage in the wild next week), anthem composition, a novel, working title "Cumberland Picnic" and presently at 63,000 words and which, I think, will level out at around 120,000, my revision of my first book, The Dragon's Voice (sorry to those who are waiting, its 3 months away, much of the revisions are based upon feedback from members on this site), native Britain body painting, etc etc, and I'm expecting these to all hit the same place together.
The magazine projects are still live, but with so much writing I've got them on the back burner, I made a strategic decision to stop writing the software at the moment, and new issues will probably apprae in issuu or something like that.
The same question as always is relevant, what's happening about Cumbric ~ and the answer's still the same, for me the route in to it is learning Welsh and then learning the language of the manuscripts of Aneirin's Gododdin, and The Book of Taliesin, and as most commentaries on these manuscripts are in Welsh, that's the hold up. Fortunately I'm in East London at the moment, with some great local facilities, and one, no, two, of my highlights in June are a one day workshop in both Kernewek and Breton. Yep, come to London for that if you wish, I'll keep you posted!
With a few 'titles' started to being bandied around the site (mine included), I'm putting a lot of thought in how to manage it, because as the revival gets stronger, there will be people approaching us whose titles are either not authentic, or spurious, and we have to work out how to manage that. Some of you will already know my own title, Prince Haruson, and although my own case is easy to verify through my coat of arms, there are going to be others who are more difficult to verify but who are authentic, and others which will need to be treated with diligence so that we can sort the wheat out from the chaff. One of my ideas is getting together with a few other native princes whose titles are beyond doubt, and forming a council from which various due processes can be fed back to the community so that people know how to behave without fearing that something might bite them in the bum. I haven't, for example, verified Richard's title yet, so naturally I only call him Richard for the time being, and we'll see where the river flows. I'm thinking that some policy in the future of there being no titles in user names would be a good idea, but for those who are established in law this would also cause a problem because such a policy would technically be a violation of their rights. So I guess I'm saying that although this is a curly one, I'm onto it!
Oh, the mo's coming off for a photoshoot of me in a black kilt, but I'll start the new one straight away, so girls, no need to cry!
Must go, as per usual I'm juggling!
Kind regards,
Anthony

Notice to Members
Keep in mind that all facilities are public even if viewers have not signed in. We may, however, have to make photos and videos only visible to those who are logged in, but I would not anticipate that for a year perhaps. If anything, this need would probably arise from something like the revival of Brythonic Bodypainting, and which, to the degree that people pursue it as a native part of their heritage, has a dignified sense of toplessness to it.

The Black Horse discussion has led us back down the well trodden path of Celtic story telling, and this forum Category is designed as a Celtic Tale Repository where you tell a Celtic Tale. There are basically three types of Celtic Tales, old ones, new ones, and contemporary ones, Old Celtic Tales are Retellings of Old Tales, New Celtic Tales are New Tellings of your own creation, and Contemporary Tales are retellings of New Tales. Something about tales is that they need not include an interpretation of them, however they can, and to a certain degree it is helpful to include an interpretation of a symbol where it is clearly known, but having said that, I'm inclined to enjoy more a tale that doesn't have the interpretation with it. Mind you, the tale I'm starting with comes with interpretation :D So I'm going to launch by telling the Tale of the White Stag. Contributers should be aware that they retain copyright of their works, however make contributions on the basis that anyone can publish their tale in a compilation of 50 or more Celtic Tales ~ although I've chosen this arbitrary figure (which wont effect old tales as they are public domain), it does create a balance for any new tale that is introduced as being a native community shared story without opening the door to people publishing a single book on your New Tale. Other than the 'publishing in a single compilation of 50 or more Celtic tales' there is nothing inferred about you yielding up film rights or anything else ~ as said, the copyright of new tales remains the property of the creator of a new tale and his only concession is that people can publish his tale in single compilations that have 50 or more other Celtic tales in it. Dith da!
